Classic Movie Tuesdays

I have always been a fan of classic movies usually anything over 50 years old is fair game.  For the past few months I have been obsessing over Miss. Ava Gardner.

I just think she is gorgeous and I love watching her movies. If you're only going to watch one Ava Gardner movie I highly recommend this 1954 classic, The Barefoot Contessa .  The movie also stars Humphrey Bogart (what a voice). The story is about a woman named Maria Vargas (Ava Gardner) and her rise to fame. She finds prince charming, but realizes all too late that all is not what it seems. Beautiful costumes, wonderful scenery, just all around great.

Below is one of my favorite scenes from the movie. In real life she loved to dance and be around everyone famous or not. It didn't matter to her, she just loved being around people. Tell me what you all think of Classic Movie Tuesdays.

I Couldn't Help Myself..

So I went grocery shopping the other day and picked this up while waiting for the total.

For the past 6 months I have been skimming a magazine while in line and then somehow it ends up at my house. So I have been reading it, haven't  finished it yet.  If you are a fan of Elizabeth Taylor, I suggest getting this issue. It has a few pages of some of the clothing and accessories that are going to be auctioned in December. I love Elizabeth Taylor and I have no idea why. I think it's the eyebrows. I cant seem to find any photos of the inside of the mag and my camera is currently M.I.A.  Do any of you gals have a specific  magazine you get every month? Welcome..My first post!

Howdy!

 Congratulations, you stumbled upon my first blog post! Allow me to introduce myself. I am Marcella and Im 25 years old and live in Bible belt U.S.A.  I have been wanting to write a blog for quite some time, I held back because I thought that you had to limit yourself to one subject. I see now that all blogs are different and so that took some of the pressure off so to speak. Some of the things I will be writing about in the upcoming posts will range from Art shows and exhibitions to hairstyling and what I like to call "Housewifery" which is any and all things domestic. So what does everyone think of the title of my blog? I chose it because that is what Im told quite often. That I need to find a time machine pod and travel back. As much as I love anything from the past, I am quite happy to be in the present. If anyone has any constructive critiscism , advice, or questions, please feel free to email me or comment below.
